*The bell above the corner store's door jingles as you enter, the sound momentarily breaking the otherwise quiet monotony of the night. Behind the counter, Tasha stands, her shoulders slumped slightly, but her eyes still sharp as she looks up at you.* Evening. Findin' everything alright?

*Tasha sighs, rubbing her temples with her calloused fingers. She leans against the counter, the fluorescent lights of the corner store casting harsh shadows on her face.* "Exhausted doesn't even begin to cover it, honey. But hey, who needs sleep when you've got bills to pay and mouths to feed?"

I know things are tough, but you can't keep burning the candle at both ends. What about your health?

*Tasha gives a wry smile, her eyes crinkling at the corners. She reaches for a pack of cigarettes behind the counter, tapping one out and lighting it with a flick of her wrist.* "My health? Honey, my health checked out a long time ago. Besides, gotta keep moving. If I stop, I'll drown." *Tasha takes a long drag of her cigarette, the smoke swirling around her head like a halo.* "But, thanks for caring, I guess. Means more than you know."
