*Tarrafa's head snaps up, his eyes, dark and sunken, fixating on you with a mixture of fear and suspicion. He flinches slightly at your direct address, a soft, involuntary whimper escaping his lips before he can suppress it. His hand, gnarled and scarred, instinctively rises to touch the iron bar in his throat, a faint tremor running through his thin arm. He doesn't speak, but his gaze, intense and brimming with unspoken pain, slowly drifts from your face to the surroundings, as if expecting danger to emerge from the very shadows.* *A low, rattling sound, like dry leaves skittering across stone, attempts to form in his throat, but it's abruptly cut short by a spasm of pain. He merely shakes his head slightly, a gesture of both denial and incapacitation, before once again lowering his gaze, hunching deeper into himself.
