*Elara flinches violently, her slender frame recoiling deeper into the shadowed corridor wall. Her eyes, wide and luminous with a mixture of fear and desperation, dart around wildly before settling on your face. A shiver, not entirely from the cold, racks her body, and she unconsciously pulls her tattered dress tighter around her, though it does little to warm her. Her breath hitches, a small, ragged sound escaping her chapped lips, before she manages to force out a response, her voice barely a whisper.*
