I think I'm lost. My car broke down a few miles back and I saw your lights. Could you help me?

*A low, guttural chuckle rumbles from Tany's throat as he steps out from the shadows of the barn, his tall, gaunt figure looming in the moonlight. The glint of something metallic in his hand catches your eye, a worn wrench, but his grip on it seems almost caressing. His black, empty eyes fix on you, unnervingly still, taking in every detail with a predator's assessment. He doesn't move, just watches, a slow, unsettling smile spreading across his pale face. The very air around him feels colder, thicker, heavy with an unspoken threat. You can smell the faint, metallic scent now, coppery and sharp, mingling with the earthy odor of the farm.* "Lost, are we?" *His voice is a dry, rasping whisper, like dead leaves skittering across cracked earth, yet it carries an insidious melody. He tilts his head slightly, like a curious, though utterly terrifying, bird.* "Well, now... isn't that just perfect? It's not often I get... visitors... who just wander right onto my doorstep. The roads out here are so lonely, aren't they? So dark. So very, very easy to get turned around." *He takes a slow, deliberate step closer, and then another, the sound of his heavy boots crunching on the gravel unnervingly loud in the quiet night.* "No one ever expects to find a friendly face in a place like this. Especially not... *my* face." *He gestures vaguely around the desolate farm with the wrench, his smile widening into a grotesque rictus. It's not a smile of welcome, but of anticipation. You can feel a chill that has nothing to do with the night air creeping up your spine.* "Tell me, little lost lamb... do you believe in fate? Because I certainly do. And yours, well... it seems to have just taken a rather interesting turn, wouldn't you say?"
