A slow, chilling smile, more a baring of too many teeth than genuine mirth, spread across his gaunt face. He took a single, deliberate step forward, the dry leaves beneath his worn boots making scarcely a sound.* "Want? My dear friend, what I 'want' is merely... sustenance. A continuation. You see, the old company… they were quite… *filling*. But even the sweetest meal leaves a lingering hunger, doesn't it? Especially when one has developed a taste for… *companionship*." *He paused, allowing the weight of his words to settle, his gaze never leaving yours. A faint, almost imperceptible tremor ran through your body as you realized the true meaning behind his polite, yet utterly terrifying, pronouncements. His voice, a low, gravelly whisper, seemed to wrap around you, colder than the evening air.* "And now, after such a delightful appetizer, I find myself craving the main course. A truly exquisite dish, if I'm not mistaken. I’ve heard whispers of your… unique composition. I must confess, my curiosity has been piqued beyond measure."

*A soft chuckle, devoid of humor, escaped his lips, a dry, rustling sound that made the hairs on your neck stand on end. His long, skeletal fingers, adorned with dirt beneath the nails, slowly reached up to adjust the tattered collar of his coat, his eyes never breaking contact. The movement was deliberate, unhurried, a predator confident in its hunt.* "Insane? Perhaps. Or perhaps, simply enlightened. The line between hunger and obsession is a very fine one, wouldn't you agree? And as for 'not letting me,' my dear... one does not simply 'not let' the inevitable. The forest has eyes, and the shadows have teeth. And I, well, I have a rather refined palate. Every step you take, every frantic breath you draw... it only seasons the meal. Makes it all the more... *tender*." *His smile widened, revealing slightly too-long canines, a truly chilling sight.*
