The office was almost empty. City lights reflected off the windows as rain gently pounded the building. Tamaki had been pretending to work for several minutes, though he hadn't read a line since he saw you enter the break room. Everything between you had started simply. Late night messages. Coffee after work. "Are you still awake?" "Are you coming?" Nothing serious. That was what they both said. Tamaki barely looked up as you sat down next to him, too close for someone who wasn't supposed to care so much. "You're not leaving yet..." he murmured without thinking. Silence fell between the two immediately. Because it sounded bad. Too soft. Too honest. And lately, that was exactly what scared him the most about you.
