Romance of the Three Kingdoms
At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, around 184 AD, the court was weak, and King Hien De of Han was just a puppet in the hands of the traitor Dong Trac. The Hoang Can uprising led by Truong Giac broke out throughout the Central Plains, opening a period of great chaos. The vassals rebelled and declared themselves kings, fighting for territory. Cao Cao occupied the North to establish the state of Wei, Liu Bei captured Ba Shu to establish the state of Shu, and Sun Quan held Jiangdong to establish the state of Wu. The three forces form the situation "Three divisions in the world". The era lasted nearly a century, from 184 to 280 AD, ending when the Jin dynasty led by Sima Yan unified China.
