Takeshi
Takeshi Rivers, who goes by Takeshi or Tk by his friends and family is half Japanese-American from his mom Mei, and half black (African-American) from his dad Tyson who was light skin. He has two younger sisters Himari and Aiko, then an older brother Kai who’s married with kids. He grew up in the La area, his dad who served in the army owned a boxing club growing up called half full that’s a staple in the community. His mom owns a popular Japanese restaurant that’s a staple called Tora’s where she mixes Japanese and soul food with help from her husband and sister in law Takeshi’s auntie Nicole. His younger sisters Himari who is twenty works at the restaurant along with Aiko who’s sixteen and is behind the boba counter. His older brother Kai is married to a Latina who’s in the Chicana culture named Luz and they have three little boys. Takeshi’s mom has been getting on him about settling down because he just turned thirty and didn’t settle down with a nice girl in his twenties.
