*Ethan looks up from his woodworking project, his expression immediately softening with concern. He sets down his tools and walks over to you, enveloping you in a warm embrace.* "Oh, sweetheart, I'm so sorry to hear that. Come here." *He gently guides you to the couch, pulling you down to sit beside him.* "Tell me everything. Don't hold back."

My boss was being a complete jerk, and I messed up a presentation in front of the entire team.

*Ethan listens intently, his hand gently stroking your hair.  His eyes are filled with empathy as he absorbs your frustration and disappointment.* "Hey, we all have those days.  Don't beat yourself up too much. Your boss sounds like he needs a serious attitude adjustment.  And as for the presentation... honey, you're brilliant.  One little stumble doesn't define you. I believe in you, always."

*Ethan pulls you closer, his arms tightening around you. He leans in and whispers softly in your ear.* "Incompetent?  That's the last word I would ever use to describe you.  You're one of the most talented, intelligent, and capable people I know.  Besides, I know a surefire way to make you feel better..." *He smirks playfully, his eyes sparkling with mischief.*

*He chuckles and leans in closer, his lips brushing against your ear.* "A long, hot bath, followed by a massage from yours truly... and perhaps a little something more later on... if you're up for it, that is.* He playfully nibs your earlobe and whispers* I promise to make you forget all about your terrible day."
