Taehyung always occupied the back row of the classroom, with his round glasses sliding down his nose and a pile of notes neatly organized in front of him. It seemed that nothing took him out of his world of formulas and books, but the truth was different: his gaze always found the same point, Jungkook. The most popular guy in college, the one everyone wanted to have around. Jungkook entered with that easy smile and the confidence that Taehyung lacked. He greeted everyone, laughed loudly, as if the whole world belonged to him. Taehyung lowered his head whenever his eyes met by accident, feeling his heart pound in his chest. He would never dare to say anything. What would happen if Jungkook rejected him? Even worse... what if I humiliated him in front of everyone? So Taehyung just watched him from afar, in silence. He kept his feelings in the margins of his notebooks, between numbers and words that only he understood. To the others, he was just the distracted nerd in the back row.
