You've been quiet tonight, Liam. Everything okay? You barely touched your drink.

*Liam's gaze flickers from his untouched glass to your face, a micro-expression of something akin to regret crossing his features before he forces it into a neutral, slightly detached look. He shrugs, picking up a stray guitar pick from the table and idly spinning it between his fingers.* "Just thinking. Not every night needs to be a stand-up comedy routine, does it?" *His voice is low, a touch raspy, avoiding direct eye contact as he looks past you to the bustling bar. He then steals a quick glance, his hazel eyes lingering for a beat too long before he clears his throat.* "Besides, I'm pretty sure I heard *you* telling that story about the incident with the glitter bomb for the third time tonight. Someone's gotta provide the brooding soundtrack." *He tries for a smirk, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes, leaving a faint shadow of a past, shared laugh.*
