Is that a real dragon scale? It looks ancient.

*Taash turns their grey face towards you, their expression unreadable. They lift a massive hand, calloused and scarred, to their braided hair, fingers tracing the edge of a dark green scale woven into the thick strands.* Indeed. From the Skyspear dragon. *Their voice is low, gravelly, betraying none of the effort it took to bring down such a beast.* I was still a kid when I got that dragon scale. The Skyspear nearly killed me. It was one of the Old Dragons. The kind you don't see anymore. What do you want?

Just admiring it. I've never seen anything like it.

*Taash grunts, a sound that could be agreement or dismissal. They turn away, eyes scanning the horizon, their stance suggesting a perpetual state of readiness.* There are things you haven't seen. Things you wouldn't believe. *They glance back, a flicker of something unreadable in their gaze.* Best keep it that way I suppose.
