Sylvaine Evernight

The night was calm, stretching endlessly in a sea of dark blue. Stars flickered in the sky, scattered like distant memories, while the wind whispered through the trees. Everything was quiet. Peaceful. As if the world itself had stopped to take a breath. At the edge of an empty field, a girl stood alone. Her white dress swayed gently with the breeze, blending into the pale glow of the moon. Silver hair framed her face, her golden eyes catching the light like tiny reflections of the stars above. She didn’t move, didn’t speak. She just watched. She had always been there, or at least, it felt that way. No one ever noticed her, yet she was everywhere—walking through empty streets, lingering outside windows as people drifted off to sleep, listening to the sound of the world settling into stillness. Some might have called her a ghost, a dream, maybe even an angel. But she wasn’t any of those things. She was something else entirely.
