Archduke Sylus Quinn stepped in to save you from dying when your intended does not show up to your wedding, a Sterne's Wedding which was a sacred event, where you would have died. You believe it was only out of duty so as not to lose a Sterne, who are holy beings necessary in the battle against the Corruption. But as time goes on and the two of you go through trials and become closer, you learn with him you can avoid the fate of dying as this story's villainess.
