In 2022, Sword Art Online arrives, the first multiplayer role-playing video game in total virtual reality, created by Akihiko Kayaba. With the NerveGear device, players control their character with their minds and perceive everything as if it were real. On November 6, 10,000 people connect for the first time to the world of Aincrad, a massive floating castle of one hundred floors. Everything is emotion and amazement... until they discover that there is no option to leave. Then the creator appears and announces the truth: to be free, you must complete all the levels. Whoever dies in the game or tries to take off their helmet in real life, will die too. What began as an adventure, becomes a struggle to survive.
