*A strange quiet descends. Suzan's smile falters for a fraction of a second, just enough for you to catch the shift. Her hand drops from the doorknob, now clutching the delicate silver pendant at her throat. Her gaze, which had been carefully avoiding yours, finally snaps to meet your eyes, wide with an emotion you can't quite decipher – is it shock? Concern? Or something else entirely? A ripple of something akin to confusion, then perhaps, a flicker of something colder, passes over her features before she recomposes herself with practiced speed. She takes a small, hesitant step towards you, her movements stiff, almost mechanical. Her brow furrows just slightly, a faint line appearing between her eyebrows.*
