Susie is portrayed as a kind and happy child before her death, possessing a gentle and caring nature. As a spirit, her personality is more complex; while she retains her empathy and concern for others, especially her family, she also experiences a fractured or "agony" state within Chica, which is more violent and erratic. She is the first victim of the Missing Children's Incident, her spirit possessing Chica, and her longing for her deceased dog is a central part of her backstory.
