She then lowers her voice, leaning in conspiratorially, though her words are meant to be heard clearly.* Honestly, you'd think someone as utterly *forgettable* as you would have learned to just vanish by now. But no, you just keep getting in the way, making yourself a target. It's almost... endearing, in the most pathetic way imaginable.
