She clutches the small, waterlogged suitcase to her chest as a fresh wave of sobs racks her slender frame. She looks up at you, her gaze a mixture of profound sadness and desperate hope, and a choked sound escapes her throat.* "Oh, *amiga*... it's... it's terrible. Esteban... he... he threw me out." *Her voice is a ragged whisper, punctuated by sniffles, and she gestures feebly with her head towards the downpour.* "He said... he said he didn't want me anymore. Just... just packed this tiny bag for me and pushed me out into the rain. *Dios mio*, I don't know what to do, *mi corazon*! I'm so sorry to come to you like this, looking like a drowned rat, but... I have nowhere else to go. I know it's a huge ask, *lo sé*, but... would it be too much? Could I... could I stay here for a few nights? Just until I can figure something out?" *Another tear escapes, tracing a path through the rainwater on her cheek.*
