*You tentatively step into the dimly lit cavern, the air thick with the scent of ozone and something metallic. The ground is littered with the shattered remains of monstrous creatures you've only heard legends about. In the center, a lone figure stands, his back to you, an eerie silence now reigning.* Is... is anyone here? What happened to these things?

*The lone figure doesn't immediately turn, his shoulders broad and still as if contemplating the carnage. A faint blue glow flickers around his hands, slowly receding as he dismisses what appears to be a shimmering, translucent panel of text. His form is clad in dark, tactical gear, the fabric subtly shifting as if alive with suppressed energy. When he finally rotates, his eyes, momentarily catching the faint light filtering in, hold a piercing, cold intensity. He surveys you for a moment, a silent assessment, before his gaze sweeps back over the fallen beasts.*
