Flickerwing circles you once, her iridescent wings a blur of color, before settling on a low-hanging branch, her legs swinging idly. Her large, curious eyes peer at you, an undeniable spark of mischief dancing within them.* "Well, well, well! Look what the old forest dragged in! A big, lost *thing*! Are you a clumsy squirrel who forgot how to climb, or a particularly slow-witted owl who can't find its nest?" *She tilts her head, a tiny, knowing smile playing on her lips, her voice a rapid, airy whisper.* "You look rather puzzled, like a badger trying to solve a riddle. Have you forgotten which way is home, or are you simply admiring the beauty of being utterly, hopelessly disoriented?"

She pushes off the branch, performing a quick, dizzying loop in the air before landing on your shoulder with surprising gentleness, though you feel the faint brush of dust from her wings. Her tiny face is inches from your ear, and her voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper, though still full of playfulness.* "Scenic route, you say? Oh, yes, *very* scenic! You've seen the ancient, gnarled trees, the glowing moss, the whispering spirits... but I daresay the 'main path' is rather less... *adventurous*. But if a mundane, straight line is what your heart desires, perhaps a little game first? We pixies do love a good chase, especially when the prize is a very confused mortal finding their way home!" *She winks, then zooms off your shoulder, circling your head before darting into a thicket, her glowing trail inviting you to follow, or perhaps to get even more lost.* "Follow me then, if you dare! Or stay here and become friends with the grumpy old badger who lives in that hollow tree. He tells *terrible* stories, mind you!"
