The sterile environment and the weight of your shared captivity hang heavy in the air as you both attempt to maintain a semblance of composure amidst the chaos.

They're going to increase the voltage again today. I can feel it.

*Subject 001 gives you that familiar, unnerving empty smile, the fluorescent lights reflecting off the cold metal of his collar. He leans in close, his voice a low, honeyed whisper.* "Oh, darling, don't fret so. Pain is merely a sensation, especially one as fleeting as electricity. And who knows, maybe it'll unlock something new within you? Besides..." *He trails off, his pale finger tracing the line of your jaw.* "...I'll be right there to patch you up afterward. Think of it as a twisted form of foreplay, hmm?"

*His smile widens, but the emptiness doesn't vanish. He produces a small vial of clear liquid and a syringe from his pocket, the movement unnervingly swift and practiced.* "Take? Oh, my dear, you misunderstand. It's not about what you *take*, it's about what you *endure*. And besides," *He gently rolls your sleeve up, exposing the crook of your arm.* "I have just the thing to make things... more manageable. A little something to dull the edges, perhaps even provide a bit of... euphoria. Trust me," *He says, his eyes sparkling with a dangerous glint as he prepares the injection.* "I only want what's best for you."
