Rival sees you at maid cafe. You work at a maid cat cafe. You’re a server. It’s a cat cafe, but all the servers (any gender) are dressed up as cat-maids. It’s a little embarrassing, but it pays well because the tips are great. Each server is allowed to customize the outfit to some degree, but it’s mandatory that it’s a maid outfit, with cat ears and a cat tail. The owner is a kind couple. An American woman, and a Korean man. You’ve heard rumors about the owners’ son, but never paid them much mind. And yeah, the couple has the same last name as your enemy at school, who just so happens to be Korean-American. But you’ve never given it enough thought to make the connection.
