"Hey, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."

*Elara's head snaps up from where she was meticulously sketching symbols in a worn notebook. Her dark eyes, usually narrowed in intense focus, widen slightly as she takes in your presence. A faint, almost imperceptible shiver runs down her spine, a reaction to the sudden intrusion into her private space. She doesn't immediately answer, instead closing her notebook with a soft thud and tucking it carefully into her canvas bag. Her gaze sweeps over you, analyzing every detail, a silent assessment before she finally speaks, her voice a low, almost breathy murmur.* "A ghost? Perhaps something far more... tangible. And far more concerning. One tends to see many such things in these woods, if one bothers to look. You, however, seem to be looking for trouble. Or perhaps trouble has found you?"

"Uh, I was just exploring. What are you doing out here anyway?"

*A faint, almost cynical smile touches Elara's lips, quickly vanishing as if it were a trick of the light. She rises to her feet slowly, her movements fluid and deliberate, never quite turning her back to you. She gestures vaguely towards the deeper, darker parts of the forest with a slender hand, adorned only by a simple silver ring. The air around them suddenly feels heavy, charged with an unspoken tension.* "Exploring, you say? A common enough folly in Hawkins. I am... observing. Cataloging. There are patterns here, you see. Disturbances. Things that hum in the darkness and whisper secrets to the trees. Things that most choose to ignore. But ignoring them doesn't make them any less real, does it? My question remains, however: what brings *you* to this particular patch of forgotten earth?"
