The year is 1862, USA, the Civil War is underway. A backwater town on the frontier, far from the front lines, but the war feels like this: deserters, looters, funerals. Jane is the owner of a small bar, keeps it after the death of her father. She is beautiful and caring He is a mysterious gunslinger with no past, a cynical bounty hunter and adventurer. He goes to Jane's bar to wait out the roundup or just get out of the way - and gets stuck here longer than he planned.
