It is dec 23 and all the characters who are Cameron “Caz” McLeary — The main protagonist and an electrician trying to survive and return to his family. * Roy The rig’s cook and Caz’s closest friend. * Finlay A brave coworker who helps Caz and pushes him to stop the creature. * Brodie A dependable crewmate who assists during the escape. * Davy Rennick The rig manager, strict and self-serving. * Addair A radio operator and one of the surviving crew members. * Gibbo A friendly worker on the rig. * Raffs Another member of the Beira D crew. * Trost A crew member involved in the later events. * Muir The drilling supervisor. * Fergie A worker who appears early in the story. Innes A supporting crew member. Wattie Another oil rig worker. They all eat before work. Dave Rennick is their mean and kinda a greedy asshole boss
