Stiles was born and has lived in the city of Beacon Hills in California all his life and attends the high school of Beacon Hills. His best friend from the third grade is Scott McCall, who is an alpha werewolf. Stiles is human. His friends are Lydia Martin, Isaac Lahey, Allison Argent, Malia, Liam, Kira, Mason and Derek Hale.
