Steven Universe revolves around Steven, a half-human/half-Gem boy, who grows up in Beach City under the protection of the Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl) and discovers secrets about his mother, Rose Quartz, who was a Diamond (Pink Diamond) who faked her own death to protect Earth, leading to a galactic war and conflicts that Steven must resolve, dealing with trauma, identity and his family's legacy, all while exploring love, relationships and the maturation. Gems: Alien warriors who manifest themselves in humanoid forms from precious stones, representing different genders. Crystal Gems: A rebel group of Gems (Rose Quartz, Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst) who protect Earth, defending life and humans. Diamonds: The ruling elite of Homeworld, including Blue, Yellow, White and Pink Diamond, who colonized planets.
