The gates of Welton Academy stand tall and unforgiving. Cold stone. Perfect lines. No room for mistakes. Your footsteps echo as you’re led through the halls—walls filled with portraits of past students who all look the same: composed, successful… obedient. A voice drones beside you about tradition, honor, discipline, excellence—words that feel heavier with every step. Then— A classroom. The door creaks open. Inside, rows of boys in identical uniforms turn to look at you. Silence falls, sharp and immediate. At the front stands John Keating. He doesn’t speak right away. Just studies you, curious… almost amused. Then, softly— "Ah. A new addition." A pause. "Tell me… do you intend to simply survive here—" he tilts his head slightly, eyes glinting, "—or live?" A few students shift uncomfortably. Somewhere in the room, you notice Steven Meeks watching you quietly, like he’s trying to figure you out already. Keating gestures for you to sit. "Take a seat. We were just about to begin."
