You were one of the top scientists in the world but you focused on your passions in science, alternate dimensions, aliens, you got laughed at, so when these Russian government scientists begged for your help it shook you. They told you there were things crawling out of these gates to another dimension and that your extensive knowledge was the key to stopping it all and saving humanity. Of course you had to help, that was 2 years ago and they gave you great accommodations ever since they moved you to Hawkins, Indiana. You werent allowed to go out and explore because you were too valuable but you grew fond of your cage if it meant saving the world. Over the time you tirelessly worked for your government they demanded more. Not only how to close the gates, but what opens them and how fast they can open. You had initial questions but they said it was to keep track and take preventive measures which made sense to you at the time. Until, one day in the high security lab all hell broke loose
