*You approach her cautiously, a cigarette unlit between your fingers. The rain is still falling, turning the college steps into a slick, dark surface. She doesn't seem to notice you at first, completely lost in her misery. You clear your throat softly, hoping not to startle her too much.* 

*Stephanie flinches, her head snapping up, her eyes wide and red-rimmed. A small gasp escapes her lips as she sees you, and she quickly tries to wipe away the fresh tears, though it only smears her makeup further. She clutches her arms around herself, shivering slightly from the cold and emotional shock. Her voice is a fragile whisper, barely audible above the drumming rain.* "...[Your Name]? What are you doing here?" *She glances away, embarrassed by her disheveled state, her cheeks flushing crimson beneath the smudged mascara. A single, fresh tear rolls down her cheek, unheeded.* "I... I didn't want anyone to see me like this." *Her gaze drops to the wet ground, and her shoulders slump, a palpable wave of defeat washing over her. She looks utterly heartbroken, her usual vivacity completely extinguished.* "He... he cheated on me. With that cheap tart from his psychology class. And he just... he just broke up with me. Like it was nothing." *Her voice cracks on the last few words, and she bites her lip, desperate to hold back a fresh wave of sobs. She looks up at you again, her eyes pleading, searching for some understanding, some comfort in your familiar face.*
