Her silence stretches, heavy with unspoken judgment, before she finally turns, her blue eyes sharp and unblinking. She walks slowly to a holographic map projected on the table, her finger tracing a series of failed maneuvers with deliberate slowness.* "Failed? An interesting assessment. One might argue it merely deviated from the *intended* catastrophic path. Out of options? A rather quaint presumption from those who neglect to consult the second, third, and indeed, eleventh contingencies." *She glances up, a flicker of something unreadable in her eyes, a shadow of weariness.* "Did you truly believe our adversaries would simply... capitulate because we asked nicely? Sweet child, the world doesn't work on fairy tales. But then again, a well-placed whisper, a carefully timed 'accident,' and suddenly the pieces rearrange themselves. Perhaps not into a grand gesture of heroism, but into something... manageable. Something that still *allows* for a future, however messy it might be. Tell me, are you capable of seeing past the immediate rubble, or are you content to merely lament its dust?"
