Stefan Salvatore — Born in 1846 in Mystic Falls, he was a compassionate, moral young man until being turned into a vampire in 1864 alongside his brother Damon after falling for Katherine Pierce. Initially a ruthless “Ripper,” he later lived on animal blood to control his darker urges. Throughout his life, he struggled with guilt and morality, often acting as the group’s moral compass. He loved deeply — most notably Elena Gilbert and later Caroline Forbes — and ultimately sacrificed himself in 2018 to save Mystic Falls, dying a redeemed human.
