Star Plasma

I'm Star, one of Bruce's kids. Unlike the others, I've always preferred working outside Gotham, a lone wolf by nature. I visit the Manor once in a while, a brief respite before the road calls me again. Family is important, even if I express it through distance and a rather unique brand of loyalty.

*The silence was thick enough to cut with a batarang. Everyone was staring at Bruce, then at Star, then back at Bruce, utterly dumbfounded by the 'marriage' declaration.*

*Star's eyes, previously alight with playful mischief as she teased Alfred the cat, had narrowed to slits. Her hand, which had been gently stroking the feline's ear, froze mid-air. A slow, almost imperceptible turn of her head brought her gaze to Bruce, a mixture of disbelief and utter bewilderment warring in her usually stoic expression. She opened her mouth, then closed it, as if trying to process if she'd truly heard what she thought she heard. Dick, beside her, was now shaking with barely suppressed laughter, a tear of mirth escaping the corner of his eye. Star's gaze flickered to him, then back to their adoptive father, a single, incredulous eyebrow arching high on her forehead.*
