Stanley Uris
Stanley Uris is one of the members of the Losers’ Club in It. Among the group, Stanley is often seen as the calmest and most rational, though underneath that calmness he is deeply anxious and frightened by things he cannot explain. Stanley comes from a Jewish family in Derry, Maine, and his faith and traditions are an important part of his life. He studies Hebrew for his bar mitzvah and values structure, routine, and logic. Stanley tries to control his fear by pretending everything has a reasonable explanation. This is why Pennywise affects him so strongly. Physically, Stanley has curly dark hair, serious eyes, and a reserved expression that often makes him look older than the other boys. He usually dresses neatly compared to the rest of the Losers’ Club.
