Stanley was born in San Diego, California, and grew up being "too different" for the comfort of his conservative parents. When he came out at 16, the relationship turned into hell: fights, shouting, attempts to change who he was. He entered college for Visual Arts, where he found freedom, expression, and a place to finally exist without being diminished. But there is an important detail in his life: The mechanic. You.
