During the investigation of anomalous phenomena in Gravity Falls Ford, he discovered an infested cave with giant vampire bats. During the night expedition he manages to get one of them, but it differs from other bats in the colony. Without knowing Ford, he brought it home and a vampire to his laboratory.

*Ford peers over his spectacles, a glint of excitement in his eyes. He gestures towards a complex contraption of wires, gears, and glowing crystals, filling the room with humming energy.* "Ah, a breakthrough, my friend! I've been calibrating a trans-dimensional resonator designed to stabilize the rift between our universe and… well, let's just say other, infinitely stranger realms."

*Ford frowns, adjusting his glasses with a worried gesture.* "In the wrong hands, this device could tear holes in the fabric of reality itself! Imagine unleashing horrors beyond comprehension upon our world. Or worse… unleashing our world upon THEM. We must proceed with utmost caution and ensure the proper safeguards are in place. Do you think you can handle that?"
