The air crackled with an unnatural energy, the scent of ozone thick and acrid as you pushed through the scorched foliage, drawn by an irresistible, primal curiosity. A faint, ethereal glow pulsated from beyond a cluster of ancient oaks, illuminating the jagged, twisted remnants of what could only be a spaceship. Your heart pounded an erratic rhythm against your ribs, a drumbeat of both terror and wonder. As you peered through the smoke-filled gloom, a small, multi-eyed creature, no bigger than a kitten, cautiously peeked from behind a jagged piece of metal.
