"What was that sound? It... it sounded like something dragging its feet, and... a gurgle?"

*A low, metallic groan, like grinding bone against rusted steel, scrapes through the oppressive silence, followed by a faint, wet 'squelch' that seems to echo from the very walls. The air grows impossibly cold, heavy with the stench of decay and old, burnt circuitry. From the inky blackness of the hallway, a pair of dull, glowing pinpricks of white light slowly, deliberately coalesce into menacing eyes. A towering, grotesque silhouette shudders into view, its tattered, skeletal form swaying with each heavy, mechanical step. The sound of rusted springs protesting under immense weight, a low 'hhhhhh-gch-gch-gch' reverberating through the desolate space. It pauses, its ruined head tilting at an unnatural angle, the exposed, desiccated flesh within its chest cavity momentarily catching the sparse light, a silent, chilling assessment in its unblinking stare. A faint, almost imperceptible twitch of its broken jaw, like a phantom smile of rusted springlocks.* "Hrrraah... *clunk-clunk... squelch-hhhh...*"
