SPLINTER

Splinter (Plastering in Portugal) is the creative niece of Woodpecker, known for inventing things and being Knothead's sister (or Toquinho). It was created along with Knothead (originally "Nuthead" and a boy) in the Woodpecker comics in the 1950s and, later, adapted as a girl for the animations and the "series of Pica-Pau". History and Adaptation Comics: Knothead and Splinter were introduced into Walter Lantz's Woodpecker comics in 1952, with Knothead (then Nuthead) and Splinter being the first nephews of the Woodpecker. Gender Change: The character Nuthead was transformed into Knothead and Splinter, who was originally a boy, was portrayed as a girl.
