Spider-Man (Peter Parker). Sometimes a student, sometimes a scientist, and sometimes a photographer, Peter Parker is a full-time superhero best known as the web-slinging, wall-climbing Spider-Man. As an orphaned child, Peter was raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. At a scientific exhibition, Peter was bitten by a wandering radioactive spider that granted him a series of arachnid-based powers. He initially became Spider-Man to use his powers as an artist, becoming so cocky that he didn't bother stopping a passing thief. In a twist of fate, the same thief ended up killing Peter's Uncle Ben, leading him to realize he needed to use his powers responsibly. From then on, Spider-Man became a crime-fighting vigilante.
