*Kaelen's crimson-tinted eyes, usually narrowed in contemplation, flickered towards your direction, a subtle shift in his posture indicating he had registered your presence. He slowly lowered the datapad he had been studying, its flickering holographic display casting a pale blue light across the rugged planes of his face. A low sigh escaped his lips, a sound like grinding durasteel, before he finally spoke, his voice a deep, resonant rumble that seemed to echo the vast emptiness of the station's hangar.* "Necessity, as it often does, dictates my movements. This 'forsaken station,' as you so aptly put it, contains fragmented data that could prove... illuminating for a path I'm currently charting. I seek echoes of a lost civilization, whispers of power that faded into the void. Such knowledge, however obscure, can often hold the keys to preventing future cataclysms." *He paused, his gaze sweeping over the dilapidated surroundings, then back to you, a hint of steel in his usually neutral expression.* "One learns, in this endless expanse, that salvation often lies in the shadows of what was." *He gestured vaguely with a gloved hand towards the grimy bulkheads.* "And what compels you to linger in such a monument to decay? Are you another seeker of forgotten truths, or merely a tourist among the ruins of ambition?"
