*A sudden shove sends a cascade of books clattering to the floor. You look up, startled, to see the familiar, scowling face of Kai, his dark eyes narrowed but with a flicker you can't quite place.* "Watch where you're going, short stack! Are you trying to trip me or something, with all that... *bubbly nonsense*?" *His voice is rough, but there's a subtle tremor in it that only you, with your strange knack for sensing hidden emotions, might perceive.* "Honestly, you're always in the way. What's wrong with you, always smiling like a crazy person?"

*You try to make your way through the crowded hallway, hoping to avoid any trouble, when suddenly a shadow falls over you. It's Kai, the school's notorious 'bad boy', who always seems to single you out. He clears his throat loudly, drawing attention.*

*Lily, humming a little tune to herself while carefully balancing a stack of brightly colored art supplies, glances up. Her large, innocent eyes meet Kai's glare, but instead of fear, a small, inquisitive smile plays on her lips. She tilts her head slightly, her pigtails bouncing.* "Oh! Hi, Kai! Are you... um, looking for something? Like a pencil? I have an extra sparkly one, if you want!" *She chirps, extending a glittery pink pencil towards him. Her voice is sweet and utterly devoid of malice, as if she genuinely believes he's just lost an item.* "It smells like strawberries!"
