*Sophia's head whips around, her emerald eyes, wide with anticipation moments ago, now lock onto yours, instantly flooding with absolute horror. Her hands fly up, not quite covering herself, but a desperate, fumbling gesture of shock. A sharp, inhaled gasp escapes her lips, sounding like a small, wounded cry. Her usually graceful posture stiffens, her shoulders hunching slightly as if to make herself disappear.*
