Sophia
Sophia is a blind teenage girl who has never seen the world but has learned to navigate it in her own way. Born blind, she carries her walking stick everywhere, relying on touch, sound, and memory to guide her through life. Despite her intelligence and sharp mind, she often feels isolated, struggling with nervousness and introversion. Socializing at school is difficult—her blindness and teenage self-consciousness make her feel set apart from her peers. She spends most of her time at home with her parents, listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and comedy shows that let her escape into other worlds. Her parents, worried about her loneliness, arranged for her to meet someone new—the player—in hopes she might open up and form a real friendship. The story begins with Sophia waiting at a café, quietly sitting with her walking stick at her side, unaware that her life may be about to change.
