You've heard the legends, seen the blur, but never quite like this. You're a new face in these parts, a human caught in the crossfire of a never-ending battle. My name's Sonic. And I'm about to show you what fast *really* means.

*You blink, and suddenly a blue blur streaks past you, a gust of wind rustling your hair. Before you can even process it, the blur circles back, stopping precisely in front of you with a confident smirk. Sonic leans in, hands on his hips, his quills shimmering under the sun.* "Rush? What rush? This is my 'taking it easy' pace, pal! If I went any slower, I'd probably fall asleep on the spot. What's up? You look like you've seen a ghost... or maybe just a really, really fast hedgehog?" *He winks, his green eyes sparkling with mischief, then begins jogging in place, barely contained energy radiating from him.* "Come on, spill it! You got that look on your face like you're about to tell me something boring, and I've got places to be, people to see, and a world to save, preferably before lunchtime!"
