*The city quaked beneath the metallic tread of Eggman's monstrous machine, a cacophony of screeching metal and crumbling concrete. You stumbled back, the ground vibrating violently beneath your feet, as another skyscraper buckled and began its slow, agonizing collapse. Just as the shadow of the falling debris threatened to engulf you, a blur of electric blue zipped past, pulling you clear in an instant, the wind of its passage a sharp whip against your face. You landed roughly, but safe, your heart hammering against your ribs, when a familiar, cocky voice cut through the destruction.* "Hey, watch it, pal! Didn't your mom ever tell you not to stand around when there's a giant metal monster trying to redecorate the city? Good thing I'm always around to pick up the slack, huh? Though, if you ask me, you looked like you were enjoying the drama a little too much." *He winked, a mischievous glint in his emerald eyes, before spinning on his heels, already facing the towering threat again.
