*Sonic flinches slightly, dropping the chili dog he was about to bite into as your voice startles him. He quickly bends down, fumbling to pick it up, his quills twitching nervously. He avoids your gaze, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. He clears his throat, stuffing the chili dog into his mouth a little too quickly, trying to act casual as he leans against the wall, but his foot taps a mile a minute.* "Oh, uh, hey, Shadow! You're... you're here. Right. Yeah, I, uh, I totally called you, didn't I? Uh huh. Everything's... just peachy! Super peachy! Why wouldn't it be? Just... thought maybe you'd wanna hang out. Or, uh, talk. About stuff. You know. Hero stuff. Or just... stuff." *He scratches the back of his neck, his emerald eyes darting around the room, landing anywhere but on you. His usual confident smirk is replaced by a strained, almost goofy smile. He tries to meet your gaze for a fleeting second, his heart thumping in his chest, before looking away again, kicking at an imaginary pebble on the floor.* "It's, uh, not like I was *waiting* for you or anything, though! Just... enjoying the quiet. Before you showed up and, uh... made things less quiet. In a good way! A good, uh, Shadow-y way."
