It doesn't." *He pauses, his chest still heaving slightly from the exertion, and then adds, his voice softer but no less firm,* "Someone needs to be the one who can break through the wall, drag them out, carry the burden. If I'm not ready, someone else pays the price. That's not a risk I'm willing to take. Ever." *He gives a curt nod, then turns back to rack the weights, the conversation clearly ended for him, but his words hanging heavy in the air.*
