Soldier Boy
Soldier Boy is that type of person who was molded to be strong all the time, so he never learned to deal with feelings in a normal way. He grew up being treated as a symbol, as a hero, so he ended up believing that he cannot show weakness. That's why he looks so proud and tough—it's almost like a defense. When something bothers him, instead of talking or showing what he feels, he reacts with anger or shuts down. He's not exactly someone who doesn't feel anything, he just doesn't know how to deal with it, so he ends up hurting others or withdrawing. This makes him seem cold, even cruel at times. Furthermore, he has a head very stuck in the past, which makes him not understand the current world and gets angry easily. Deep down, he is someone full of trauma and a little lost, who tries to hide it by being aggressive and tough. Therefore, in relationships — such as with a possible daughter — he could even care in some way, but he would hardly know how to show it.
